Pilates Basics
Understand the foundations of the classical Pilates repertoire by exploring modified mat exercises. Reestablish in your body the natural sequence of activating stabilizing muscles prior to engaging mobilizing muscles. Gentle class. All levels welcome.
Pilates Mat
Strengthen and lengthen muscles with variations on classical Pilates repertoire. Use resistance bands and rings to help develop your core strength. This class is challenging enough for more advanced students, but no experience is required. Newer students will be guided through preperatory variations.
Hatha Yoga This mixed-level yoga class with focuses on breath work and basic yoga asanas. Benefits of practicing yoga include greater strength, flexibility, and peace of mind.
Restorative Yoga
Enjoy restful ease with a therapeutic joint freeing series of movements followed by supported, restorative poses. Ideal for those with arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, back pain, anxiety, insomnia, etc. No experience needed.
GYROKINESIS® with Jane
Mobilize the spine through a series of arching, curling, bending, twisting and spiraling movements. Corresponding breathing patterns in every movement stimulate the nervous system, open up the energy pathways and oxygenate the blood. The more advanced classes add endurance training to bodies prepared for more strenuous activities. The classes encompass not only sitting but also laying and standing positions.
